Shoreditch Village Hall
33 Hoxton Square, London, N1 6PB
Shoreditch is a district in the East End of London, within the London Borough of Hackney, inEngland. It is a built-up part of the inner city immediately to the north of the City of London.
In 2012, the lack of a free community space to hold a “Town Hall meeting” in the days after the London riots led directly to founding the The Village Hall; an event space committed to hosting 20% free community events. Support for a new community-focused venue in the area was massive and resulted in a successful Kickstarter campaign, which raised £77k in 30 days.
Shoreditch Works’ broader social goals are simple ― to foster local talent in Hackney by working with organisations such as Young Rewired State, CodeClub and TechMums to improve local skills, lowering the digital gradient between Shoreditch and the rest of the borough.
Getting around in London
Order a taxi:
You can get a Taxi easily by walking to any reasonably busy road in London and making your presence known to a passing black cab, easy 🙂
The best way of getting around, however, is the London Underground. The closest tube stations to the Shoreditch Village Hall are Old Street and Shoreditch High Street. They also serve different underground lines so you will likely choose one based on your destination.
